Training FAQ

Who is this training for?

Our 200-hour yoga teacher training is for the curious, the devoted, the aspiring teacher, and the student who feels there is something more waiting beneath the surface of the practice. Whether you dream of teaching or simply want to understand yoga in a deeper, more embodied way, this training is for anyone ready to step into a season of growth, study, reflection, and transformation.

Do I have to want to become a yoga teacher to take this training?

Not at all. Many students enter teacher training with a desire to teach, while others join because they feel called to deepen their personal practice, understand the body, explore yoga philosophy, or reconnect with themselves in a more meaningful way. Teaching may become part of your path, but it does not have to be the reason you begin. This training is just as much about becoming a more conscious student of yoga as it is about becoming a teacher.

What will I learn in the 200-hour training?

You will study the foundations of yoga in a way that is both practical and profound. This includes yoga philosophy, history, anatomy, alignment, sequencing, cueing, meditation, pranayama, ethics, scope of practice, trauma-informed teaching, hands-on assists, practice teaching, and the art of leading a safe, intelligent, and meaningful yoga class. You will learn not only what to teach, but why it matters and how to teach with clarity, confidence, and care.

What style of yoga will I learn to teach?

This training offers a strong foundation in teaching vinyasa-style yoga while also helping you understand the deeper principles that support many styles of practice. You will learn how to sequence with intention, cue with purpose, offer modifications, and teach in a way that is accessible, embodied, and grounded in both the tradition of yoga and a modern understanding of the body.

Is this training Yoga Alliance approved?

Yes. Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, also known as an RYT 200. This certification is the foundational credential for those who wish to begin teaching yoga professionally.

What if I have to miss training hours?

We understand that life happens. Yoga Alliance requires make-up hours to be completed if more than 18 hours of training are missed. If that happens, we have a clear format we follow to help you complete the required hours. Everything is figure-out-able, and we will guide you through the next steps with communication, support, and a plan.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. Payment plans are available through Shopify, giving you up to one year to pay off the training through monthly installments. Our hope is to make this investment feel more accessible and manageable, so you can say yes to the path without feeling like everything has to happen all at once.

Do I need to have an advanced yoga practice to join?

No. You do not need to be able to do advanced poses to join teacher training. You do not need the perfect practice, the perfect body, or years of experience. What matters most is your willingness to learn, your commitment to the process, and openness to being a student. This training is not about performing yoga perfectly. It is about understanding the practice more deeply and learning how to meet yourself with honesty, curiosity, and care.

Will I be ready to teach after this training?

Yes. This training is intentionally designed to help you build the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to begin teaching yoga. You will receive practice teaching opportunities, sequencing support, feedback, and guidance throughout the program so that you can begin to find your voice, trust your presence, and step into the seat of the teacher with more clarity and confidence.

What kind of support will I receive during the program?

You will be supported by experienced teacher trainers who are committed to your growth throughout the entire process. Our team is here to help you ask questions, understand the material, refine your teaching, and feel held as you move through the training. You are not expected to know everything on day one. Teacher training is a journey, and we are here to walk with you as you grow.

Is there homework outside of training hours?

Yes. Trainees can expect reading, class observations, written assignments, personal practice requirements, and practice teaching preparation outside of scheduled training hours. These assignments are created to help you integrate what you are learning, deepen your understanding, and begin applying the teachings in real life, both on and off the mat.

What happens after I graduate?

After graduating, you will receive your 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate and will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance. You will leave with a stronger understanding of yoga, a deeper personal practice, and the foundational tools needed to begin teaching.

How do I know if this training is the right fit for me?

This training may be right for you if you feel a pull toward something deeper. If you want to understand yoga beyond the physical postures. If you are curious about the body, breath, philosophy, and the art of teaching. If you are ready to be challenged, supported, inspired, and changed by the practice. You do not need to have it all figured out before you begin. You only need the willingness to show up, learn, and take the next step
